The overhead for me to learn a simple new language is small, so the fact that I’d have to learn Dart doesn’t inhibit me.

This and the availability of the Data API is what sealed it for me. If I'd gone with Xojo or LiveCode, I'd be learning another language and IDE anyway, so I just put that effort into learning Xcode and Swift so I could build the kind of apps that provided the UX I wanted. Plus, I never have to worry about Apple's level of commitment (technical or financial).
