As most of my clients have HIPAA requirements, and the Claris EUL for both Studio and Connect exclude this (anything over their infrastructure, reducing liability), I never used it, but users need to start looking for alternatives

I have been much surprised with their decision. I watched demonstrations a few years ago, it was a fantastic product. Considering it was a Web app, they proposed something only seen in Desktop apps.

They seem to say that because of AI , Claris Studio was not pertinent anymore. Sorry, but there is life without AI, a lot of things can be done with real intelligence. The man landed on the moon without any AI. The Saturn V was a hell of a rocket, at a time where microcontrollers did not exist.

If you have a chance, search for the explanation on how Boing was able to have this rocked go up - Houston, we have lift off ! They networked a bunch of small micro-computers chips, every one doing its part of the job. Think about this, that was done before the digital world existed. Those man and women did all this without any fancy tools. Three women (mathematicians) had the chore to determine the path needed to bring this rocket up in the sky.

Good Riddance. Close the door behind it.

Why do our clients want it? No one could answer that question.

I remember when it was first introduced to developers. They showed a demo of someone using web form and then collecting the data in FileMaker. It was like watching a teenager struggle to tie their own shoelaces. Not a WOW moment.

For a few dollars worth of tokens any of the AI tools will generate a website that does what Studio did.

So this is public yet?

Anyone using it?
I wonder if Claris keeps a server running past the end date if some client prepaid for multiple years and uses it actively.

Yes. It was announced publicly today. Obviously not enough people are using it to pay the bills.

They will keep the lights on for Claris Studio until March 15, 2027.
