Is it possible that the date in the future in FileMaker Pro only goes to 31 December 3999?
You can go up to the end of the year 4000.
Date ( 1 ; 1 ; 4001 ) --> ?
Date ( 1 ; 0 ; 4001 ) --> 31/12/4000

Out of curiosity, why would that be a problem if date could not go past Dec 31st 3999 ?

We're trying to calculate Hebrew to Gregorian Calendars and the former is currently at anno 5782.

Date fields are implicitly Gregorian. I imagine that you will need to use a calculation field that is generating a string which describes the Hebrew date.
