what happened to FMS21.1.2?

I assume they had a bug in .2 and quickly replaced it with a .3

Seems difficult to find the difference here.
But the web direct bug with one missing or extra character is fixed in 21.1.3 and was not in 21.1.2
Also there is a long thread on the community for an error 9 which got an improvement into 21.1.3, too.
I hope that helps.
I'm curious if any of these bugs are known to be fixed in 21.1.3:
- WPE crash
- Portal Height goes to zero
- Users disconnected, FMSE problems
- Layout mode, FMPro locks up
- Persistent Cache corruption issues
- Permissions issues with related files
(Or if not fixed, if there is a solid workaround)

Although Claris says they have a fix in progress:
- it's notably not mentioned in the 21.1.3 release notes
- there is a comment in this thread saying they are extending support for FMS 20 - which I interpret as meaning "they have not fixed the bug in 21 yet"? But that's just a guess.

All of the fixes for this issue from the Customer Care distribution Pete mentioned are included in FileMaker Server 21.1.3 which is now available on your Electronic Software Distribution page.
Claris has closely collaborated with several customers experiencing these issues. Many of those who have updated to this version are no longer encountering these issues. Claris is confident that this version improves the situation and recommends that all customers update to this version.

UPDATE: unfortunately, I have to report that the bug is NOT fixed in the latest FMS 21.1.3 update. I got the same bug reported back this morning from a customer of ours, where I installed the latest update last Tuesday. Back to the drawing board then?
I suspect many Claris folks are at the Claris Engage 2025 conference, so it may be good to wait a few days until this settles?
Maybe 21.1.3.1 by Thanksgiving?

Version 21.1.3 – March 2025
Claris has closely collaborated with several customers experiencing issues related to erroneous insufficient access privilege errors. Many of those who have updated to this version are no longer encountering these issues. Claris is confident that this version improves the situation and recommends that all customers update to this version.
However, there seem to be at least 2 customers claiming otherwise
They did address this at Engage. I was proud of them for acknowledging it and speaking about it at so publicly. According to Clay, the "Error 9 permissions issue" is actually several issues that all manifest the same way to the user. They were caused by tightening security in some areas, but they found they need to back some of it off. (Highly paraphrasing here.) They have fixed some of the issues, but one or two others remain… so it depends on which edge case you hit. But a lot less people should be running into it now than before. And they think they got some good info at Engage for how to reproduce the others, so… hopefully fixed for all of it soon?
Also… noted in the slide text that 21.1.2 was only released to a targeted test group, not publicly released.
