The problem with color, is the meaning is often lost very quickly.
I have used a variation on this technique extensively and found it reliable and immensely flexible; for example:
- Add "Clear" or "All" to the contents of an existing field based value list
- Concatenate the contents of several lists - either VLs or eSQL results
I highly recommend this technique - especially for multi tenant solutions
