WOI-MVL-DYN - a dynyamic value list with search and scroll function as add-on

Hi dear collegues,

here I want to present a add-on solution for a magic value list:

WOI-MVL-DYN is a parameterisable, context-independent MVL with extended display options as add-on.

Value lists are an important tool in FileMaker development,
because they can store data from any other table in a current table
table without being related to it.

Anyone who has worked with these waiting lists knows that each value
list has to be set up separately and is therefore not transferable and also offers little convenience and display options.

Here are a few more advantages over a ‘normal’ value list:

  • The number of lines displayed can be set by parameter

  • You can scroll forwards and backwards in blocks

  • When selecting an element, the corresponding Sys_ID
    or UUID of the source table is also output for further use.

  • 2 fields from the source table can be displayed next to each other

  • The display can be filtered. This means that WOI-MVL-DYN is also suitable for large
    databases.

  • The add-on format means that no installation is necessary

  • Only a few parameters need to be entered so that the
    MVL-DYN with the individual names of the target layout and the target table.
    are assigned to the WOI-MVL-DYN
