Claris Connect - Scheduled 6 hr Downtime on 1/14

Hi All. I've dabbled with Claris Connect but do not have any production sites using it right now. Probably a good thing because Claris, instead of doing scheduled maintenance overnight, with less than 48 hours notice has scheduled up to 6 hrs of downtime Tuesday Jan 14th starting at 1pm Pacific time.

Here's the notice I received today:

Important notice for Claris Connect customers.

Hello Claris Connect customer,

We’re reaching out to inform you of a scheduled system upgrade to improve your Claris Connect experience. Please review the details below:
What: Scheduled system upgrade
When: Tuesday, January 14th, 2025
Time: 1:00 p.m. Pacific Time
Duration: Up to 6 hours

During this maintenance window, the following will apply:

  • No data managed by Claris Connect will be saved.
  • Incoming APIs will time out when attempting to communicate with Claris Connect.
  • While you will still be able to log in, we recommend refraining from modifying your flows during this time.
  • Requests made during this period will not be queued and will need to be retried once the system is back online.

What’s new in this update?

This upgrade includes:

  • An update to licensing. Claris FileMaker, Claris Studio, and Utilities steps will no longer count against your usage limits, offering you greater flexibility and value from your subscription.
  • Security and reliability improvements.

**Check the status **of Claris Connect to ensure systems are back online before you resume normal use.

We appreciate your understanding and patience as we make these improvements. Our goal is to provide you with the best possible experience using Claris Connect.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our support team.

Thank you for being a valued Claris Connect customer.
Regards,
The Claris Team

Down for 2.5 hours - better than the estimate, but for a SAS service, zero downtime architectures would be highly preferable
