FYI, although FireFox is not officially supported for WebDirect, we have found it generally works OK.

With FireFox 135, we are seeing that the last character of a text field is lost when tabbing to the next field:

What a nuisance. Do we know if it has been reported to Mozilla?
Firefox has never been supported, which is a shame because it has often been the most compliant with W3 standards. If Firefox ever had issues with the output of WebDirect it probably pointed to an underlying issue with the Vaadin software.
Unfortunately Firefox has lost it's level of market share and is down in single digits. That is very bad news for everyone. For the last 20 years Firefox has provided an attractive, open source, standards compliant web browser that wasn't controlled by a monopoly interest.
I think that FireFox has never been supported, that means using FireFox may lead to issues, I understand that some (a lot of) people may dislike Google though. I guess that Claris supports the most used browsers.
I tried this on FMS 21.1 with Firefox 134.0.2 and 135.0 but did not see this kind of issue, editing fields and tabbing/entering to next field.
I was using macOs 15.3 on m4 macbook (so it's arm version of firefox).
There were problems with Webdirect in FM 19 and FM 20 where the last characters of an entry in a field could be lost. One of my customers also had this problem. It should be fixed in 21.
That's good to hear, but at the moment I'm afraid to go to version 21 due to all the bugs and instability people are reporting. Edit to add: although this may be improving "soon"? Is FileMaker Server 21.1.1 safe to use? - #12 by xochi
I have had a user report this happening for them, they're using 21.1 server and latest Chrome on Windows. Only one report from this user however, no other users appear to have submitted this as an issue.
The bug is spreading!
A similar issue appears to now be widespread, affecting Chrome and Edge 134 versions:
Pasting into a webDirect textfield now truncates the last character of the pasted data. See discussions here: Claris Community (English)
Claris has prepared a fix (to be released in 21.1.3 "today or tomorrow") for the second bug (where Pasting into a WebDirect field cuts off the last character). I don't know if this will also fix the FireFox bug too?
