Getting Error on OAUTH with Amazon

Hi all,

I tried to set up OAUTH in FMS 19.3.1 today but was unable to get it to work.

Here is what I did:

  1. FMS Went under Administration, clicked "External Authentication", then "Amazon" and "change".

Entered the two credential strings you see when creating a new security profile in your Amazon developer area.

At the bottom of his page, under "Database Sign In", I enabled "External Server Accounts" and "Amazon".

  1. In Amazon Developer website, under Web Settings, I entered the "Allowed Return URLs" to:

https://FQDN/oauth/redirect

(The FQDN matches the private SSL certificate for the site.)

  1. In FileMaker 19.3.1, I created a new user:

Type: External Server
Group Name: email address for the amazon account
Access: Full Access

Then, when trying to start the FileMaker application to access Amazon, I get a "bad request".

The FileMaker application does come up with an "Amazon" button, but clicking it gives the 400 HTTP error.

The URL https:///oauth/redirect is shown, but I have no idea how that could be the problem.

Any ideas what is wrong?

Thanks very much.

Oliver

It is an “Amazin” error then :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
Hope someone can help!

Thanks Cecile.
I got it working by re-creating the security profile. Not sure what was wrong since I just re-created what I had, but it's working now.
Thanks for the humor.
