Just one correction: on macOS FMS the fiel should be placed in: FileMaker Server/HTTPServer/htdocs/httpsRoot/ to access the solution by https://

We have done some customization in past with Web Direct:

The number one thing you need to do, is to keep a backup and instructions as you may need to restore the changes after each update.
