You think about going to Claris Engage 2025 in Austin Texas and you wonder what you could do there with a few extra days?
Especially if you come over from far away, you may enjoy a few extra days to adjust to the time zone and see the surrounding area. I've been seven times in Texas to various conferences and so I can give you a few ideas on what you could do.
If you go to downtown Austin, you can visit the capitol, enjoy a few drinks at the bars in sixth street.
At sunset you can see a lot of bats flying out of the Congress Avenue bridge. It's amazing to see.
You can visit the cathedral in Austin:
West of Austin are a few state parks and of them is the Longhorn Cavern State Park with the huge cave:
Or the Colorado Bend State Park, where you can hike through nice nature.
If you drive down to San Antonio you find variou Spanish missions from the 17th and 18th century.

- Mission San Juan
- Mission San Jose
- Mission Concepción
- Mission San Antonio de Valero
If you visit all the missions, the last one is the famous Alamo.
Don't forget to visit the River Walk, where you can walk along the river. And if you look for parking, just drive into the River Center Parking Garage.
If you make a the drive to Houston, you can visit the Space Center Houston and see a the space shuttle and some rockets.
And you can visit the battleship Texas.
If you drive down to Corpus Christi, you can visit the Lexington, a retired aircraft carrier.
On the way back, you can stop at the Mission Nuestra Senora del Rosario near Goliad.
