I do it for years, every day.
PSOS sucks, because it can't open sub scripts that in different file so you have to have all involved files opened on the client before PSOSing.
Plus, thanks to url launching I can trigger the server side script instanly if I need to.

I wonder what overhead there is for running a server script schedule so frequently? I'm guessing it depends on the type of activity the script invokes.
Another thing that comes to mind is that there will be a lot of issues around context and what the script touches. It can't touch anything that users are touching and vice versa.
A state of the art server does that all for you and that is its purpose and chief task.
According to Claris documentation, scheduled scripts, like PSoS, cannot access files on a different host.
