That's a lot!
I really want to encourage people to start exploring. The AI space is going to create a boom of opportunities for FileMaker developers.
Missing some as well - hard to keep current.
FMFathom.com is an awesome FM analytical tool in the vein of FMPerception, but 1) uses the SaveAsXML, 2) can connect through an MCP, so that you can use an AI like Claude for analysis. 3) allows multiple connected users with assignments and kanban task management, and 4) allow automatic (not figured this one out yet) retrieval of all the log files (the 5 that are exposed in Admin console, and the other 7? buried away for those that know where to find them. It's in public (invitation) beta, and I'm finding it immensely useful.
Right now, the author (Kevin Chavez) is hosting it himself (the web version) with Google authentication, but the longer term plan is to let the web tool be self hosted, as well as have a desktop version (in alpha - works but not as "pretty" as yet.
Kevin was telling me he has a customer he uses Trello with to report problems. Customers often are terrible at describing problems. He dropped the cryptic trello post into FMFathom, and the AI was able to not only decipher the problem, but identify where in the solution the problem was coming from.
IMHO, most if not all other FM AI efforts are on the development side. FMFathom is on the in-process or post development side - something that should survive the Claris AI release, I would think.
According to a Claude query - does things that Claude can use that are out of scope of what Claude can grok from the XML by itself.
FMTrace.com - also in Beta. Does code time execution tracing. Nice stuff as well (no AI)
FMLayoutLogger - from 360Works, free. Just setting this up, so not a lot of feedback from me as yet.....
