Hi @MonkeybreadSoftware , will this feature has it's own preference checkbox to disable it? I'm not too worried about evaluating a variable ahead of time, but mousing over a field that would trigger tooltip to evaluate that same field out of context could have it's own performance implications. There is one system I support where I quite literally cannot use the dataviewer's "active" tab when a script is running because the initial developer implemented selector connector.
