Unable to move the data using filemaker migration tool on Ubuntu Server

Hi Guys,

I am unable to migrate the data using terminal command on ubuntu server using FM Migration Tool.

Detail about server, Tool, and Shell Command :

Server : NAME="Ubuntu"
VERSION="18.04.5 LTS (Bionic Beaver)"

Tool : fmdmt_16_ubuntu_ets_rsvk3 (filemaker-data-migration_19.3.1.16_amd64.deb)

Command -> -c

"/usr/bin/FMDataMigration" -src_path "/opt/FileMaker/FileMaker Server/Data/Databases/File.fmp12" -src_account "test" -src_pwd "1234" -clone_path "/opt/FileMaker/FileMaker Server/Data/Databases/File Clone.fmp12" -clone_account "test" -clone_pwd "1234" -target_path "/opt/FileMaker/FileMaker Server/Data/File.fmp12" -force -v

I got the correct result as expected.

FMDataMigration 19.3.1.16 (04-01-2021)

Source file: "/opt/FileMaker/FileMaker Server/Data/Databases/File.fmp12"
Source account: "test"
Clone file: "/opt/FileMaker/FileMaker Server/Data/Databases/File Clone.fmp12"
Clone account: "test"
Target file: "/opt/FileMaker/FileMaker Server/Data/File.fmp12"
Force overwrite: On
Ignore value lists: Off
Ignore accounts: Off
Ignore fonts: Off
Reevalute calcs: Off
Rebuild indexes: Off

BUT file is created on desired directory as File.pid instead of File.fmp12

Please guide me that what am I missing in above steps.

Thanks
Saurabh

You might want to call FMI directly and get dedicated technical support on this topic. I'm not sure how many folks are using FMS on Ubuntu and from those how many have used the data migration tool. It may very well be a bug or other issue.

Welcome to the soup @saurabhgupta8718 :grinning:

Has that happened more than once? If it occurs every time you may have bumped into a product error.
