why not make the «s» reversed, like a ~ …?
ok. can't beat the nothing left to be left.... Was trying to do d and u for developer user...
my only hesitation regarding version 2 was that the technique to finish a shape in the border of a rounded square is used a lot and might be passé? but i trust the professional here so v2 or v1 they are both beautiful.
I was thinking about the same (lowercase/uppercase letters) - but by viewing, all lowercaps wins!
For what it’s worth I like the 3rd one.
I’m sorry @Markus, but I was not referring to the logo (maybe I was not clear). So can I interpret your answer to mean that when writing in plain text, you prefer to use the all lower case variation over all others?
logo 2, text all lowercase (-:
Unicode Character ‘WREATH PRODUCT’ (U+2240)
how do you type unicodes?
I’m all in for lower camelcase but with this font maybe I would edit the upper S a bit for design reasons making it a bit tighter
as for the logos so far my favorite is still number 2
My goodness. Please remind me to never have a FileMaker developer as a customer
The square part will make for a perfect dock icon (for those using the chrome app on a mac)
I love it on our home page. @Cecile @cheesus, is there a version with transparency, the white background version looks a bit weird for the ones using the dark UI.
Also, I think we should keep a bit more padding on the left & right (probably not visible on a white page)
To confuse you even more here’s v2.1 with rounded shapes. I also embedded v2 once again for a direct comparison (Both with transparent background).
Edit: I’m not quite sure, whether we lose the coding thing with the round edges…

I wouldn’t know how to translate this german quote:
“Einem geschenkten Gaul, schaut man nicht ins Maul.”
Means, don’t criticise when it’s free.
À cheval donné, on ne regarde pas la bride
When the horse is gifted, don’t fuss about the harness.
Besides being free, it is excellent! I love it as it is now.
Thank you so much @cheesus ! There’s still much to do and I must attend other activities but I think we are all glad to start having our own image.
Let us know whether the rounded or squarish version should be used.
I like the sharp edges better
I’d let the community decide.
I share my Affinity Designer File here with you, in case someone would like to build something upon my work. Maybe you (Cecile) start a poll on monday to vote for the final logo?

I'd suggest the sharp edges. Back to:
Normally my clients choose the first attempt that I propose
And the fact that you've indicated this is your favourite, plus some support throughout, why not go for it? You've done a fantastic job as well as getting one of the many things Cecile has mentioned off the list, so the next one can be addressed.
